h3>Transportation</h3>

div class="dir61264170cd"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Boynton Beach is easily accessible from all major highways in South Florida. Interstate 95 has four exits into Boynton Beach and the Florida Turnpike provides a quick entrance into western Boynton. Other north-south arteries are U.S. 1, which runs through downtown Boynton Beach, and S.R. A1A, the scenic oceanfront highway.</span></div>

div class="dir61264170cd"><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">For visitors arriving by air, Palm Beach International Airport is only 15 minutes away to the north, while Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is located 30 minutes to the south. Palm Beach County Airport at Lantana, located near the northern edge of Boynton Beach, offers general aviation services for private and corporate aircraft.</span></div>

p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">There are many wonderful and fun places to visit and things to do in Boynton Beach. Here are a few historical landmarks to visit around town.</span></p>

li><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>The Andrews Home</strong></span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">306 S.E. First Avenue</span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Andrews Home is the oldest house in Boynton Beach and has been restored to its original humble splendor.</span></li>

li><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Boynton Woman's Club</strong></span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">1010 S. Federal Highway</span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Boynton Woman's Club serves as a social and cultural center. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.</span></li>

li><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Schoolhouse Children's Museum</strong></span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">129 East Ocean Avenue</span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">As a hands-on children's history museum, the Schoolhouse Children's Museum has been visited by close to 100,000 children and their parents, teachers and grandparents since it opened in November 2001. Exhibits depicting South Florida's rich history provide visitors with a glimpse of the past while exploring, playing and learning.</span></li>

li><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Lofthus -  Underwater Archaeological Preserve</strong> </span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">(3/4 of a mile north of the Boynton Inlet)</span><br /><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Lofthus is a vessel that wrecked off Manalapan in 1898. In 2003, the ship was dedicated and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The historic site is a favorite among area divers.</span></li>

p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Parents have a wide variety of excellent public, parochial and private schools from which to choose in Boynton Beach for the education of their children. The city also is located near many post-secondary schools, training facilities and universities. In addition, adults can participate in a variety of educational programs to get their high school diplomas, improve their work skills or simply learn more about a subject for their own edification. </span></p>

h3>Sports & Recreation</h3>

p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Everyone from young to old enjoys the many parks in the Boynton Beach area. For children, the region's many playgrounds provide hours of enjoyment. Kid's Kingdom is one of the largest playgrounds. Built by dedicated community volunteers, Kid's Kingdom is a constant source of community pride. It is located on Ocean Avenue east of Seacrest on the city's Town Square campus.</span></p>

h4><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Beach Conditions </span></h4>

p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County Beach Patrols provide information regarding daily beach conditions. After 9 am, a recording describes water and weather conditions, as well as hazards such as the presence of man-o-war or sea lice. p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Parks and Recreation Department</span></span></strong></p>

p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Parks and Recreation Department at the City of Boynton Beach has a great deal to be excited about. The Intracoastal Park opened in the fall of 2003. This 2.3 million dollar project includes a Veteran's Memorial, picnicking areas, and a small splash-playground for youngsters and beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. At Boat Club Park area boaters can launch and navigate in and out of the Boynton Inlet much easier thanks to the recent channel dredging and the new highly visible channel markers. Boaters have several other enhancements at Boat Club Park, along with the channel improvements, including 75 boat trailer parking spaces, renovated launching ramps and additional loading docks.</span></p>
